From the beginning, it’s been Josh & Marissa Streitmatter’s goal to offer high quality show cattle to competitive young people in the beef industry. What started as a mutual love for showing cattle and evaluating livestock has turned into a donor pen, annual sale, and a drive to help others succeed. Josh and Marissa believe being a part of the show cattle industry offers young people the opportunity to grow personally and develop lifelong skills. They enjoy mentoring each showman in areas of animal nutrition, showmanship and animal grooming. In addition, they are passionate about each showman’s personal development and hope to build relationships that extend beyond their junior show career.
Josh & Marissa grew up in Indiana showing competitively on both the state and national level. Both obtained Animal Science degrees from Purdue University and were members of the livestock judging team in 2014 and 2017, respectively. For many years, Josh was involved in his family’s cattle operation, Streitmatter Show Cattle. When Josh and Marissa were married and moved to pursue their careers, they decided to begin their own operation, Josh Streitmatter Cattle, focused on Chi, Maine, and Shorthorn based genetics. Now located in Boswell, IN Josh and Marissa hold an annual sale each September and follow the cattle throughout the show season. Aside from exhibiting cattle, they also judge many shows across the country. Feel free to reach out to Josh and Marissa at any time via phone or email listed on the contact page. They would love to get to know you and help you find your next champion. |
